The Weekly Dose of Awesome

When people think of CrossFit, they often think about the Armed Forces. The two go hand-in-hand, not just for obvious training reasons, but also because of how CrossFit has always aligned themselves with and supported our troops.

But this is San Francisco. I wouldn't call it a military town, except during Fleet Week of course. When you ask what a fellow UB athlete does, more often than not it involves the tech world.

Today's Dose of Awesome breaks that mould. Steve C is a Marine, currently heading BizOps for a local construction/tech company. As is usually my experience with any athlete who has served their country, he is always a friendly, positive, up-for-anything athlete. He's dedicated to doing his best and giving 110% for any WOD. His natural exuberance means he's also a joy to coach and have as a buddy in class.

Steve is never happy with his performance, which is the hallmark of a person who keeps pushing their boundaries and getting better. Keep pushing, buddy! OORAH!
