Get Out There

CrossFit boasts its ability to push people outside their comfort zone.  It takes you past your preconceived limits and helps prepare you for the adventures of the unknown.  It teaches you how to go after life with a new level of intensity (both physically and psychologically) you may not have been aware you had.  But how often do you test this new preparedness outside of the typical CrossFit class?  How often do you push your boundaries out there in the scary unknown?

Recently I have heard about some new adventures on your plates: on November 19th Austin, Brigitte, Dave, Erin, Man, and Max are competing in their first sanctioned USA Weightlifting meet at SPS in Oakland; Monday, Shannon took her first swimming lesson.  Sure, putting yourself out there is hard - it's downright scary.  You could get laughed at, or even fail.  But if you do try, you might surprise yourself and succeed - or win.  Getting out there is what CrossFit is all about.  It puts you and your many dedicated hours of training to the test.  No matter what it is, it is important to try new things and push your boundaries to show yourself you are capable of so much more than what you might think.  How are you testing your limits?
