Sam is actually pretty new to UB, but honestly we can barely remember a time when he wasn't around. He blew into the gym bringing with him a breeze of enthusiasm, a great attitude, and a love of fitness. In fact, he's booked to get his CrossFit Level 1 certificate later this month. How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Our Kinesiology class studied the CrossFit US team in 2012. I then got first involved in Austin and fell in love with the style of programming. Only now am I beginning to take it seriously though.
What is an unexpected way CrossFit has affected your life? It has made me much more patient both for chasing my goals and daily activities. It has also taught me how to time manage better, WODs for time really teach you how much you are capable of in a short time if you plan and put your mind to it.
What is your favorite shower song? Really anything from the Frank Sinatra Pandora Station
