Do you remember why you started your fitness journey? What aha moment brought you into the gym the first time?
It's easy to fall into the routine of your daily life - just put your head down and get through it. The problem is, when you are just trying to get through it, you lose your inspiration. The thing that makes you want to get up in the morning (or makes you want to walk into the gym) gets lost in the fog of routine. But I want you to take a moment today and remember why you started the journey and why you are still doing it today.
I want you to do this today because over this past week, I have felt really inspired. I am surrounded by both novice and nationally ranked athletes alike who have transformed themselves because of their goals -- athletes who still get in the gym and push themselves despite limitations or the relentless frustration of injury -- athletes who push themselves despite finishing a workout last -- and athletes who start recognize themselves as an athlete for the first time. All of this makes me both reflect on my own fitness journey as well as reminds me why I do what I do. I am excited to start my day inspired by each of you.
What got you started? What keeps you going? Post to the comments and maybe you'll inspire someone else!
