The Weekly Dose of Awesome

We are on the brink of United Barbell’s 6th Anniversary.  Along with this landmark achievement comes an opportune moment to reflect on how far you’ve come as an athlete.  Check in with yourself - on the goals you've set, and the progress you've made over time.  Sometimes we have trouble honoring the progress we've made because we focus what we still can’t do, rather than celebrating what we can, or we get caught up in comparing ourselves to other athletes.  This is a chance for you reel in your thoughts and acknowledge the progress you've made thus far.

Take a second and think back to your self before you decided to try CrossFit.

Were you different, how so?  If that former you heard what you’re capable of doing now, what would they think?  Perhaps certain daily tasks are easier for you now than they were back then.  Are you more confident now?  Does your former self thank you for starting?

We live in the supersaturated whirlwind that is life in San Francisco.  There’s a lot going on, so it’s easy to overlook your own development.  But here’s your friendly reminder to take a step back and celebrate the progress you’ve made. You're awesome!  No matter how big or small, progress is progress, and it’s worthy of celebration... if only you take the time to do so.
