Try New Sports (And Support Erin M!)

Did you know notice the last line of CrossFit's Fitness in 100 words: "Regularly play and learn new sports"?  How closely do you follow this? In my opinion, CrossFit should be the thing that prepares you to dominate life... not just CrossFit.  Try something new!  Consider this your weekend challenge...

UBite Erin M continually pushes herself to try new things.  She has requested some help with her next challenge.  This is as good as time as any to pass along her message.

The 12 HOUR Race:

Friday June 9th to Saturday June 10th, 2017. Come celebrate Summer Solstice and a Full Moon at beautiful Crissy Field in San Francisco. This National Park offers spectacular scenery including Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, Angel Island and the California coastline. While we are here, lets turn it in to a celebration with friends and family while cheering on your friends as they loop in to the night for 12 to 24 hours straight. Noon Friday to Noon Saturday.

A Message from Erin:

It's a 12 hour race starting (for me) on Friday June 9 at Chrissy Field at noon and ending at midnight. It's on a Friday, so people can feel free to come by after work, right when I'll need the most support! It's on a 1.061 mile loop and for the most distance covered in 12 hours. I'm hoping for 50 miles.

I would love pacers! Everyone can feel free to join me for 1 loop or however many they think they can do, and I'll be slow! Anyone can come by even if they don't want to pace and just hang out while I run in circles. Brigitte is coordinating a cheer squad picnic. Bring food and revelry! Also, if anyone is interested, it's a great introduction to an ultra running atmosphere, which is a fantastic sport and seriously not about the running.

Pacing for this race is a pretty easy job. Let me know and I can give the word on what's involved (mostly just conversation) and it will be a great opportunity to get to know each other better!

I appreciate all support, even if it's just moral support :) It would be a great metcon!
